Christopher’s
Letter summer 2025

30 june 2025

Dear Clients, Colleagues, and Friends,
It is once again my pleasure to connect with you as we pass the midpoint of what has already proven to be a pivotal year in global finance and private wealth planning. In a climate marked by recalibration and resilience, we at Alpha remain deeply appreciative of the opportunity to serve such a discerning and forward-thinking community—our clients, their families, and our network of esteemed professional partners—who continually shape and elevate the direction in which Alpha evolves.

The first half of 2025 has seen pronounced activity across our global network, driven by an uptick in private client demand from both established and emerging markets. Much of this expansion has come through referrals—an enduring reminder that the trust placed in us is also our most meaningful endorsement. Whether sitting down with families in London, Geneva, Dubai or Singapore, one recurring theme continues to resonate: a desire for clarity, control and continuity in a world that remains geopolitically tense and fiscally fluid.

A Financial Environment in Transition

In the UK, the economic narrative of 2025 is one of transition—delicate but determined. Following a period of elevated inflation, the Bank of England has taken a measured approach, maintaining interest rates at higher levels in a bid to consolidate disinflationary gains while supporting market stability. These policy choices come as part of a broader, coordinated shift towards fiscal tightening. The incoming government has signalled its intent to revisit legacy frameworks around personal taxation, inheritance structuring, and residency-based advantages—ushering in a more assertive stance on both domestic and cross-border wealth.

White paper briefings released in Q2 confirm that reforms to the non-domiciled (non-dom) regime are under active consultation, with potential sunset provisions and transitional reliefs on the table. Simultaneously, HM Treasury is deepening its engagement with OECD-led initiatives on automatic information exchange, digital asset reporting, and transparency in beneficial ownership—all of which point to an irreversible trend: increased disclosure and greater scrutiny.

In this context, structure without substance no longer suffices. Today, effective planning must be holistic, agile and auditable. Those who act early, with strategic foresight, can ensure not only compliance, but positioning—proactively aligned with new norms rather than reacting to them after the fact.

Beyond Structuring: Building Enduring Partnerships

At Alpha, we are conscious that our role transcends the merely transactional. We act as long-term partners to our clients, supporting not just their financial structures, but their ambitions, legacies and cross-generational transitions. Our team remains deeply embedded in the evolving tax, legal and fiduciary frameworks across multiple jurisdictions—leveraging insights from international legal briefings, policy consultations and high-level forums.

We are particularly proud to announce the continuing success of Adwell & Greene, our in-house accountancy affiliate. This represents a meaningful step forward in our integrated service model—bringing together structuring, compliance, reporting and strategic counsel under one trusted umbrella. The fusion of forensic financial insight with real-world pragmatism enables us to deliver not only clarity, but cohesion. Adwell & Greene are moving soon to their new offices in Grays Inn Square, London.

Navigating the Second Half of 2025 and Beyond

Looking ahead, the regulatory and fiscal environment is poised for further recalibration. Whether the conversation is about intergenerational wealth, domicile status, or cross-border business activity, we believe that with thoughtful planning and the right guidance, individuals and families can move with confidence—not just protecting assets but designing futures.

We continue to welcome accomplished families, entrepreneurs and global citizens who value discretion, precision and depth in their wealth planning journey. For those newly introduced to Alpha, we extend our invitation for a confidential dialogue.

As ever, thank you for your trust. We remain committed to supporting your success—not just for today, but for the decades to come.
